What Do Lessons Cost?

Two Questions You Should

Ask When Shopping for Music Lessons

Question 1: What is the overall cost of learning to play the guitar or pianowell? 

The price per lesson can be misleading, because the rate of progress with one teacher vs. another can vary greatly.  Since our teaching system produces results about 2-3 times faster than traditional methods, 100s or even 1000s of dollars can be saved by learning guitar or piano with us. 

For example, if Teacher A requires a year to teach someone to play at a satisfying level for $15 a lesson, and Teacher B requires 3 years at $10 a lesson:

Cost of Teacher A = $750 (1 year)
Cost of Teacher B = $1500 (3 years)
 

the one who charges more per lesson--but offers faster progress--is less expensive by 50%. 

Faster progress also means less overall time spent practicing and driving to lessons. 

As a more specific example, we have students that learn to play fingerstyle guitar solos--not 20 second riffs or chord strumming--in as little as three months.  We are also have a new accelerated piano learning program, and are tracking the progress of the students using it.  Statistics will be available soon.

Question 2:  What is the cost of learning materials?

Many guitar students must purchase commercial materials exclusively, which can be costly across the entire time you take lessons.   

We offer FREE book-quality exercises, music, chord charts and music theory worksheets to each student, saving them as much as $100 per year.  These include entertaining musical arrangements we created to make the learning process for beginners much more enjoyable.  In the commercial marketplace, music for this level of player is often lacking in entertainment value. 

If other studios offer handwritten materials or free Internet guitar tablature, a price comparison must factor in educational power of our well-researched, book-quality learning materials designed specifically for beginners and early intermediates. 

As an added bonus, we offer free strings and restringing service for nylon-string guitars.
